They won the record of the year award for Get Lucky
Album of the year for Random Access Memories
Best Pop/Dup performance for Get Lucky
Best Dance/Electronica Album for Random Access Memories
and finally:
Best engineered album/non classical for Random Access Memories
True, award ceremonies are perhaps not an accurate measure of artistic merit, with winners this year including Led Zeppelin for best rock album and Imagine Dragons for Best Rock Performance, making for some curious choices for sure.
I'm sure most people would have predicted an award for Daft Punk, with Get Lucky a ubiquitous presence and Random access Memories Achieving both commercial success and critical recognition.
But collecting a total of five Grammy Awards is nothing less that astonishing .
