Today sees Paris hosting the Pitchfork Music Festival at the Grande halle de la Vilette.Essentially a showcase for US and elsewhere acts in France, it gives a high-profile European stage for some critically acclaimed acts, and the opportunity to spend three days in Paris with a very well selected live soundtrack.
Scotland is well represented this year, with Belle and Sebastian, Mogwai and Chvrches. Also on the bill are Caribou, James Blake, Jamie XX, St Vincent and Jungle and many others.
Some of the sets are being streamed live by Culturebox this year, so it's possible to catch many of the acts at the event digitally.
